I love the homepage pics on Bing. They are beautiful and the hot spots are fun to explore. So far, as a user, I forget to use Bing regularly because I Google everything. It will make life easier when Yahoo and Bing proceed with their search partnership, because only major search engines will be reduced to two rather than three.
As an marketer, Bing offers a lot of choices beyond basic links. In addition to videos and pics, advertisers can utilized their targeting solutions to find specific audiences. Since launch, Bing has tried to "own" shopping or e-commerce. Review articles on Bing and share your point of view on how Bing is performing as a shopping site for marketers.
Bing is just like another Google to me or any other search engine. Sure it tries to help you refine your search a little more than Google does, but is that always necessary? I think Bing might have to do more to set itself apart from Google, because their search functions could be more different.

Bing bing bing hahaha, it's pretty funny when we think about it. Bing is just like google however as the homepage presents itself with fascinating images that we can click on, we can become easily distracted in the search for these far away places and "fairy tale" animals. Other than creating a fancy homepage for the web and even the iPod and such, it really doesn't serve for much else. Sorry Bing, Google is just so much better and less distracting.

I usually search for random stuff on whim, so I automaticaly go to google. I honestly forgot all about bing. I do enjoy finding things that I am not looking for, but I generally dont bother with much pointless web browing so I get nearly the same results from whatever search engine I use..or I don't notice the differences. I think I represent the "technology retarded" section of the marketing world.

I have never heard of bing before this. I still would use google over this website because I am just so familiar with google. The pictures when I first entered the website really caught my attention. I ended up looking at a few more because of how much I liked the pictures. They also have the shopping section which is different and could be useful.

When I saw the commercial for bing and it says it would think for me I was like im in, but after the first time I used it I was turned off. There is no easy way to use or find anything on there. It over thinks what you are searching for and overcomplicates the search process. I will not be leaving google anytime soon. Google is simple yet complex at the same time. I can type what I think I’m looking for and google will find it, while bing will try to make me a sandwich…..

To me, Bing is just a clone of google that is trying to be all fancy, when in reality when I'm trying to find something on the internet I just want ease of use and accuracy not all these fancy pictures to distract me.

I really never use Bing that much, if I do use it usually finds the same stuff as other search engines. The one thing i do like about it is that it is different and seems to have more unique features than the others. The main page is one thing that is different with the different spots that I could click on and find out information about the picture.

Very catchy commercials on TV! Bing is catchy, their commercials are good, website has cool designs and it is a search engine. It may not be Google, but it works and it allows you to search out what you need to find out. I love the backdrop of the website and that the images change. They are bright and different. You are not just looking at a blank white page which intrigues me. It is similar to Google in the way that you get the advertisements on the sidebar, but you also get personalization and the hint of the backdrop in the background. Useful and different!

I tried using Bing only a couple times but I have to agree with the others in that I found very little different from Google. The background images are fascinating and the little tidbits of historical facts intrigue me but other than that the site is unimpressive. Advertising wise seems the same as Google also. Probably will stick with Google for now.

Only recently I have been using Bing as my primary search engine. There isn’t a specific reason why I choose to use this search engine but I do find it to be more appealing than Google or Yahoo. Bing advertises that it’s a decision engine rather than a search engine. When comparing Bing to Google, I found that I do like that cleaner look it has. The results between the two aren’t that different but it does show that there are changes in how one search on the internet.

Bing is more popular due to its popular ownership by Microsoft. I will say the sight is a little more attractive than google with the decorative homepage. The tabs for Web, Images, Events, Videos, Blogs are more easily accessible due to being more in the center of the page. Also, when you search a topic, you are able to share it through Facebook, Twitter, Messenger, and Email which may be at ease for people that want to show a friend or family member what they found. However, I am so programmed to just type google.com in my browser when searching something so Bing hasn't made that much of an impact on my choice of search engine.

I've never used Bing before, to me Google is the ultimate supremecy in search engines and every other one is essentially obsolete. I never use anything else. Taking a look at Bing, it seems very much alike Google, but instead of a plain white backdrop we are presented with a much more pleasant home page, with picture and color. It remains clean and simple to use like Google, but actually a lot easier to look at. Having found this, I may start using Bing, but it's going to be hard to break away from my go-to super all knowing search engine of Google.

Bing may have a different and more aesthetically pleasing image from Google, but the issue is that Google is more primarily known, and that puts a major damper into Microsoft's search engine entry. They mean well, and it's a useful site, but overall Google just overcomes it.

I hadn’t used Bing until this scavenger hunt assignment. At first it seemed just like any other search engine and I wasn’t sure what was different. After playing around on the site for some time, I realize that there is a shopping feature and I kind of enjoyed that about Bing. The shopping feature helps you to compare other deals of similar nature from many retailers.
Search is becoming more and more involved each and every day. There are features on the web that customize to you without you even realizing it. (Types of things looked at, purchase history, most frequent searches) Search engines allow someone to see what a location looks like in good detail prior to visiting or just for the heck of it.
Bing is different because you can choose the background/homepage and it could change on a daily basis. There is also the shopping feature that was previously mentioned, and a faster and more accurate search response.

I don’t really think bing is all that much of an improvement because if you are used to using google you know what to look for and say to get the right response you were looking for. But if someone is lazy or inexperienced I think bing would be really helpful for them to get what there looking for. I know that the site recognizes where you are when you search so I did a little test by just typing in “newspaper” and what I got back were a list of the newspapers in the green bay area. Now maybe bing is not U.P. friendly which it maybe, but if you make a site the can be used by everyone you should make it helpful to everyone who tries to use the site. I will keep using google because its easy and simple to me.
